La Furlana

Born in the 19th-century countryside of Friuli, Furlane also known as Scarpets — began as a humble necessity. Hand-stitched from what was available — jute sacks, fabric remnants, and repurposed bicycle rubber — each pair reflected a culture of resourcefulness and quiet craftsmanship. Originally worn as Sunday best by village women, they soon moved beyond the countryside. In Venice, gondoliers relied on their soft, non-slip soles, while aristocrats embraced their understated elegance within grand interiors. Over time, this simple slipper evolved — from rural essential to a global icon. Le Furlé redefines the Friulana for today. A once modest silhouette, now a chic staple in every cool girl’s wardrobe. Rooted in tradition yet elevated in form, each pair is handcrafted in Friuli, produced in limited quantities, with no restocks and nothing repeated. A heritage piece, reimagined for modern life — effortless, timeless, and distinctly Le Furlé.
